Saunders Waterford sketchbook has exquisite watercolour paper, traditionally made on a cylinder mould machine. Superior quality watercolour paper made by St Cuthberts Mill. Made using 100% cotton, the highest quality papermaking material, to high archival standards.

Each sheet buffer with calcium carbonate to help defend finished pieces of work from discolouration caused by acids present in atmospheric pollution. Its attractive surface is created using natural woollen felts that give it a distinctive random texture. The surface is sized in gelatine making it strong and resilient to scrubbing, and other rough treatment Saunders Waterford is a top quality professional watercolour paper.

Why use a block? Convenience and speed, you do not need to soak and stretch your watercolor paper. These blocks have glue on all four sides, leaving a small opening for you to either use your nail or a craft knife to release the paper once you have finished your painting. Especially recommended for plein air painting and art groups.
